Features of the New iPad ! ♥

The New iPad

Apple announced a new version of the iPad that's packed with new features and technology. Previously known as the iPad 3 and the iPad HD, check out all the new features on "The new iPad!"

Retina Display

The biggest and most important feature in the new iPad is the vastly improved display. The screen remains the same 9.7" size as the iPad 2, but the new Retina display provides an astounding resolution of 2048x1536. That's even better than an HDTV!

A5X Quad-Core Processor

As the rumors predicted, the new iPad rocks Apple's brand new A5X processor. This quad-core processor delivers around double the performance of the iPad 2's A5 chip and around four times the performance of the NVIDIA Tegra 3.

iSight Camera

As expected, the new iPad received an improved rear camera that's similar to the one on the iPhone 4S. The iSight camera supports 1080p video capture and up to 5-megapixel photos.

4G LTE

If you're willing to pay some extra money, the Apple iPad is packed with a quintuple-band antenna that can access almost any mobile network. Most importantly, that includes 4G LTE support. Verizon and AT&T customers can now stay connected on the go at "ultrafast" speeds.

iOS 5.1

Even though iOS 5.0 feels like it just came out, the new iPad will run on iOS 5.1. The most notable change is the addition of a speech-to-text system similar to the one on Android devices. This new technology supports English, French, German, and Japanese! Unfortunately, it looks like Siri will not make the jump over to the iPad just yet.

Same Battery Life

According to Apple, the new iPad delivers the exact same battery life as the iPad 2. You still get 10 hours of battery life normally, and 9 hours over WiFi. This means that the new iPad has a larger battery to compensate for the difference in technology.

iPhoto

Apple went into great detail showing off the power of an app for the new iPad, called "iPhoto." This advanced photo manipulation app is fairly easy to use and offers many different tools and editing options.

iMovie

This revamped version of iMovie for the new iPad is really impressive. It allows for quick and easy editing, it supports the new 1080p video format, and it offers a number of templates and themes.

Pricing

The new iPad starts at $499 for the 16GB WiFi version and ranges all the way up to $829 for the 64GB 4G version. The iPad 2 now drops down to $399 for the WiFi and 16GB. The original iPad no longer appears in the online Apple store.
