FB IS FACEBOOK OR FITNABOOK? ♥

A TRUE STORY

She couldn't believe her eyes! It’s a message from him!
Her eyes read the words he typed in the message over and over again, not believing that he actually sent it to her! Once again, she started to read it:

“assalamu alaikom wa rahmatullah wa barakatoh ukhti! where have you been all this time?! I am missing your beneficial Islamic posts in my news feed on facebook! I don’t know why you deactivated your old account to create this new one! You are one of the most righteous girls I have ever met here on facebook and your posts increase my Islamic knowledge! plz, add me to your new account”

Ya Allah! he is unaware that it’s him who led her to take the decision of deactivating her other account and create this new one. When he was one of her facebook friends, she noticed that he was good practicing Muslim man. He was kind to everyone including her. Little by little, she started to have feelings for him. In the same time, she felt guilty... because she wanted that her heart be busy only with the love of Allah. So, she asked help from her Lord as she always used to do. Quickly, Allah responded her prayers! The next day, she watched a video on youtube about adding non mahram on fb as friends. On that video, there was a lecture talking about how it is not permissible for Muslims to add non Mahram to their fb friends list, even if it was for the purpose of Da’wah. Muslim men should only add brothers and Muslim women should only add sisters to close the door in front any kind of Fitnah.
After listening to that lecture, she decided to delete all the brothers from her friendliest. Then she realized that if she does this, the male friends who inbox her many times, will be able to send her messages even after she deletes them all!
So, she decided to deactivate her account and create another one, where she would add sisters only. She didn't care about leaving all brothers in her account, she only cared about him! She knew she will never see him again commenting her posts or liking them, and that was the most difficult things for her. Leaving him was the hardest thing she would do but she always reminds herself by this Hadith : “Whoever gives up something for the sake of Allah, Allah will substitute him with something better”. She took a final look to his profile then she deactivated her account. After that, she added sisters only. How she felt relief after taking that decision! She felt happiness and peace which she had never ever felt before!
But now, here is he sending her that message!! She knew that they both have a mutual friend, this is how he could inbox her! In that moment she wanted so bad to add him! how she wanted to see him among her friends again!! Only him! but she knew that she already took a decision to obey Allah and she will never change her mind again in shaa Allah. If she would ever add a man, it would be only her future husband (if he would have a fb account)! She started to type a reply for him :

”wa alaikom assalam wa rahmatullah wa barakatoh brother! yeah I deactivated my account and I created a new one because I only add sisters now. This is why I can’t add you. Hope you understand. May Allah guide you, me and all the Muslims in our Ummah to always do what pleases HIM, ameen”

then she pressed “send” button. In order to close the door of Fitnah, she changed her privacy sittings so that only her female friends can send her messages. One more time, she felt peace and relief. She knew that only the obedience of Allah would bring peace of mind and relief from distress to HIS servants ♥
